Rationale

Homework is to encourage, maintain, practise, and extend the learning previously introduced and used at school. It is an opportunity for parents / caregivers to work supportively with their children to establish good work habits beyond the classroom.

Purposes

  1. To reinforce previously learned concepts.
  2. To develop study habits and organisational skills.
  3. To develop independence in children's own learning and research skills.
  4. To further links between home and school.

Guidelines

  4. All children will have homework from Monday to Thursday.
  5. It is the teachers' responsibility to set homework and provide children with feedback

The supervision of homework is the responsibility of parents and caregivers.
